When scars start emerging, it surely becomes an annoying situation for everyone. Unfortunately, getting rid of such a scarring problem is rather difficult. This is where the laser acne scar treatment comes in practice!
Presently, a number of remedial measures are available for treating acne scars. However, most of them either are inappropriate or lacks efficiency. Use of laser, on the other hand, has been considered as an effective way in eliminating scarring problem.

Since CO2,laser is the most powerful of all; it may not be safer and applicable to all skin types. This is why, sometime, Erbium (YAG), comparatively a less powerful laser can also be seen in use.
Recently, however, doctors are using ‘fractional lasers’ in the treatment of acne scars. By means of this, only those skin portions can be treated, which are under the impact of scarring. In short, use of a fractional laser is capable of removing scars without affecting the encompassing area. Hence, it is considered as the safer laser acne scar treatment option.
Second approach is the “non-ablative laser treatment.” It simply involves the stimulation of collagen production under the skin surfaces with a more controlled use of the laser beam. This one thus insists on the elimination of scars naturally!
Which laser acne scar treatment approach we should use?
Both ablative and non-ablative process seems to be right for treating scars that occur due to acne vulgaris. The former often results in a number of side-effects such as redness, swelling, etc., whilst the latter is known for being safe. Dermatologists,’ however, prefers ablative laser treatment, since they consider non-ablative one as something non-satisfactory in terms of repairing cosmetic disfigurement.
No doubt that laser acne scar treatment could be the best way to deal with all types of scarring. It is, in fact, known for its precision in treating a certain affected area and bears a great potential. Even then, this measure cannot be considered as completely safe, and it is highly important to consult an expert prior to application.
